C is for Caterpillar

For the letter C we focused on Caterpillars since we did Butterflies for B, I felt like it would flow nicely together.
Here is Hailey using crayons to color the C shaped caterpillar.
This cute little paper has a caterpillar and a butterfly to pops out of the cocoon. Also it has a butterfly finger puppet that was fun to play with. This came for the Primary Activity Book Volume 2 that goes along with the Nursery/Sunbeam manual.
Here is Hailey fascinated with the finger puppet.
Then we painted egg cartons green to turn them into caterpillars.
After they dried, I poked two hole in the top and looped one pipe cleaner through the holes. Then I curled the pipe cleaners with a pencil. I also glue the eyes on with Elmer's glue (not the best choice, a hot glue gun would've been better.) Cutting the eye carton and poking the holes was harder then I thought it would be.
I thought this activity was so cute that I wanted to do it too. Since Robert was asleep I even had free hands to do it and be more involved. Hailey stays with the task at hand when she sees other people doing it too. My finished project is on the left side.

This is the caterpillar that we add to when we introduce a new letter. Under the stairs is Hailey's toys and the caterpillar with help decorate the wall surrounding the toys.

We also read the same butterfly books that we had for the last lesson.
