Today since Robert was still napping, we started reading books that have a lot of "b" words in them. I have a collection of Alphabooks by Baby Einstein that has 26 books, one for each letter, each book being three pages long. I introduce things that start with a certain letter using that book.
Then we read Stellaluna by Janell Cannon which talks about a
baby
bat and
birds. Following that we read Berenstain Bears' New Baby with has
bears,
bed,
baby, and
brother.

For our craft we turned the letter B into a bee. Idea is from

Materials: yellow and black paper, yellow paint, scissors, glue
Skills: holding a paint brush, picking up small pieces of paper, and cutting black stripes (I did that one)
A good follow up book is "Buzz-Buzz, Busy Bees: An animal sounds book" from the creators of Good Night, Sweet Butterflies. We ran out of time to read this book.
