Preschool: K for Kite

Hailey had preschool at Audrey's house. Josie made kaleidoscopes for the kids out of a CD and a toilet paper roll. She said the kids didn't get it but I think it's really cool. I loved kaleidoscopes as a kid. Also they made kites and learned about knots.

K is for Kangaroo

Hailey loves kangaroos because she watches Winnie-the-Pooh. So for the letter K we focused on kangaroos.

We read "It was you, Blue Kangaroo" by Emma Chichester Clark and "Marsupial Sue" by John Lithgow. I read "Marsupial Sue" to Hailey first, then we played the CD with John Lithgow singing the words to the book. Hailey likes songs, so this was a big hit.
Then we colored our K Itsy Bitsy Book with markers. Hailey wanted to help cut out the book but it has to be folded very carefully so she's not ready to help yet.
After we made the book and went over K words, we colored and made our kangaroo puppet.
Here is our finished projects.

*Side Note: Hailey kept putting the marker lids in her month so we won't use markers for a while.
Hailey has blue and red marker on her lips.
